Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to visit?

$60 a night (per vehicle) to camp, and $30 (per vehicle) for a day trip.

Is there drinking water?

We advise that you bring your own drinking water. Water may be used from the creeks but it should only be taken where creeks are flowing and it MUST be boiled before consumption. Bottled water is available for purchase at the park office.

Can we camp anywhere or are there allocated sites?

You can camp anywhere within the bounds of the four designated campgrounds; Fig Tree, Cowah, Trakka Terrace, and The Gums.

What kinds of amenities do you have?

We have flush toilets, hot showers and serviced litter bins at each of the four campsites.

We also have a small shop with snacks and drinks at the park office.

Are there powered sites?

No – BYO generator!

Can I gather wood to make a campfire?

There is plenty of firewood on the creek beds around the campgrounds and along Diaper Road. Firewood will also be provided at campsite entrances.

P.S. Please do not cut down any trees!

When can we arrive?

8:00am – 8:00pm on a Friday and 8:00am – 5:00pm every other day.

The park gates will be closed outside of these hours, so if you need to arrange a late arrival, please just give us a call!

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are more than welcome provided that they are on leash and their 💩  is picked up!

Can I bring my horse?

Not yet… we have had lots of enquiries about this and we are definitely keen on the idea! We are not allowing horses just yet but are certainly working on it.

So bare with us and keep your eyes on our Facebook Page for any updates regarding your equine freinds!

Can I hunt deer and other animals?

Sorry to disappoint you but, no. Hunting is not permitted.

Have you really cancelled to 4WDing?

Yes it is true, we have closed the 4WD tracks indefinitely and are now open to camping only.

Do I need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to visit?

Nope 🙂
